The one thing that roofers need to keep in mind about marketing and SEO as time passes is that it is ever-changing.
While some of the SEO techniques used to generate leads and sales may be the same, the ways those techniques get used can differ as time passes.
2024 has been no different than years past.
With the ongoing changes to Google’s algorithm, it is time for roofing company owners to address the current SEO marketing trends and adjust their strategies for the greatest effectiveness in what will hopefully be a busy roofing season bringing them many new customers!

One of the most exciting, yet frustrating things about digital marketing is that it is constantly changing, mostly because Google is constantly changing.
In its effort to provide better services to business advertisers and help them more easily reach the right audiences, Google continuously changes not only its algorithm but also the advertising services it offers to local businesses.
This means that owners of roofing companies in competitive service areas must keep up with the algorithm and marketing changes or risk losing their prominent positions on Google where new customers can be found.
Roofers must consider SEO a continuing education element of the marketing side of their business to stay up to date with the trends and learn the new techniques that will keep them successful.
Dominating Google in 2024 is The Same – But Also Different
Though the main goal for every roofer in their quest to dominate Google should always be to get into the Maps 3-Pack, the way to do it is changing somewhat.
With new ad spaces becoming more prominent in the search results and algorithmic changes affecting SEO, roofers need to reconsider their paid advertising and focus on organic search in new ways this year.
Over the past year, Google has put more weight on Local Service Ads, while it seems that Facebook ads are now generating fewer results for local businesses.
Landing pages with effective links are becoming even more important as are quality website and blog content and high-power links including branded links.
In response to these changes within Google’s algorithm, business owners must adjust their SEO techniques to keep up with the changes and continue to generate leads.
